The Miss Kentucky Teen America Organization proudly offers opportunities for girls ages 3-10 to represent the Bluegrass state as a Kentucky Princess!  These pageants are held on in conjunction with Miss Kentucky Teen and Junior Teen America on the same pageant weekend.  The Princess pageants are natural pageant competitions that offer an excellent way for children to gain affordable pageant experience, have fun, and possibly represent Kentucky as an official state titleholder!

No Experience Required!

Age Divisions:

Kentucky’s Young Miss Princess, Ages 9-10
Kentucky’s Little Miss Princess, Ages 6-8
Kentucky’s Tiny Miss Princess, Ages 3-5

Contestants in the Kentucky’s Miss Princess Divisions for ages 3-10 will determine their division according to their age on the day of the pageant. If you are 10 years old at the time of the State Pageant but will turn 11 before September 1, 2009 you qualify to compete in the Jr. Teen Division.

The Princess pageants are non-contractual and do not advance to the National level.  Contestants will be judged in formal dress only.  The judges will consider poise and confidence, appropriateness of attire, beauty of face, and overall impression.  Young Miss Contestants ages 9-10 will also be judged in an on-stage interview, which is worth 20% of the overall score.  Questions for the Young Miss Division are taken directly from their application and are very conversational.

Princess contestants will also have the opportunity to enter optional contests such as most photogenic, modeling, talent, essay, and more.  Optional contests will vary according to age division.  Divisions may be combined if fewer than five entries in a division.

Appropriate attire includes semi-formal to formal special occasion dresses, such as Christmas or fancy church dress and flower-girl and/or junior bride’s maid dress. Both short and long dresses are acceptable. The judges will not be scoring the dress itself but will be looking for a complimentary color, style, and fit for the contestant.
